Terms of Service

PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING AND/OR USING OUR SOFTWARE OR SERVICES. BY USING OUR SOFTWARE OR SERVICES, CUSTOMER SIGNIFIES ITS ASSENT TO AND ACCEPTANCE OF THIS AGREEMENT AND ACKNOWLEDGES IT HAS READ AND UNDERSTANDS THIS AGREEMENT. AN INDIVIDUAL ACTING ON BEHALF OF AN ENTITY REPRESENTS THAT HE OR SHE HAS THE AUTHORITY TO ENTER INTO THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THAT ENTITY. IF CUSTOMER DOES NOT ACCEPT THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, THEN IT MUST NOT USE OUR SOFTWARE OR SERVICES.

This Jami Store Service Agreement is between Savoir-faire Linux Inc. and the purchaser or user of our services and software who accepts the terms of this Agreement. The effective date of this Agreement is the date of purchase of one of our services or the date Customer first uses our software.

Services Term

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the service that you order will start at the date of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew for successive terms of the same duration as the original Services Term, unless either party gives written notice to the other party of its intention not to renew at least thirty (30) days before the expiration. Prices are subject to change at the time of renewal. Any Services that you order must be consumed during the applicable period and any unused services will expire.

Service Levels and Pricing

When you purchase a support package, you have access to different services and levels of support depending on the selected package.

Automated updates. It gives you access to the latest JAMS updates and new features as soon as they become available. Updates can be automatically retrieved and installed from your JAMS instance.

Security patches. Automated updates includes all security patches that are released.

Installation guide and support forum. An online installation guide is available to help you configure and deploy your instance of JAMS. A forum is available for additional information and support from the Jami community. The guide and the forum are included regardless of the support package purchased.

Support by email. The Enterprise support package provides access to a dedicated support via email. The support includes all malfunctions that have an impact on the JAMS software and its functionalities. Support for the Jami software is excluded, as well as support for the integration and installation of JAMS, which must be purchased separately.

SLA and support response time. Support is provided Monday to Friday, between 9:00am and 6:00pm EST. All requests are acknowledged within 1 business day. Resolution times vary depending on the severity and complexity of the issue, Savoir-faire Linux makes no commitment on resolution time but guarantees to provide at least one update per business day on the progress of the resolution.

JAMS integration and installation assistance. The Kickstart package provides access to dedicated support to help install and deploy JAMS in your organization. A representative or a technical operator will introduce you to the different functionalities of JAMS. Assistance only covers supported platforms. For more information, refer to the “JAMS technical requirements” section.

Prices and Payment

Prices listed are exclusive of taxes. Taxes are added at time of purchase. The purchase can be done by credit card only. Savoir-faire Linux uses and relies on Stripe to ensure the security of all transactions. Credit cards are never stored by Savoir-faire Linux. You authorize Savoir-faire Linux to charge your credit card for all amounts due, and you agree to provide updated credit card information as needed to pay other amounts owed for following subscriptions. All sales are final and payments are due on the date of purchase.

Software License and Ownership

Jami and JAMS are free/libre software that can be redistributed and modified under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation, version 3 of the License, or any later version.
